We seek dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to join our NFL Flag Football League as coaches. The ideal candidates will have a passion for football, a commitment to youth development, and the ability to create a positive and fun learning environment for children. Coaches will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading practices and games, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, and promoting good sportsmanship and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and Lead Practices: Develop and implement practice plans that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game understanding. Ensure practices are engaging, inclusive, and fun for all participants. - Game Day Management: Coach and manage the team during games, making strategic decisions, providing feedback, and ensuring all players have the opportunity to participate. - Player Development: Provide individual and group instruction to improve players' skills and knowledge of the game. Encourage players to strive for personal and team improvement. - Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games. Adhere to all league safety guidelines and protocols. -Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with players, parents, and league officials. Provide regular updates on team progress and any important information. - Equipment and Field Setup: Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment and fields for practices and games. Ensure all equipment is used and stored properly. - Promote Sportsmanship: Instill values of sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork in all players. Encourage positive behavior on and off the field. Qualifications: - Experience: Previous coaching experience in football or related sports, preferably with youth, is a plus but not required. - Knowledge: Strong understanding of football rules, strategies, and skills. Knowledge of NFL Flag Football rules is a plus. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and league officials. - Leadership: Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to manage and motivate a team. - Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Coaching certification or relevant training is a plus. - Availability: Must be available to attend all scheduled practices, games, and meetings throughout the season. Physical Requirements: - Ability to actively engage in physical activity, including running, throwing, and demonstrating football skills. - Ability to lift and carry sports equipment. The YMCA of Greater Boston is searching for a sports instructor volunteers to help coach groups of children ages 2 to 14 with instructing sports classes. Classes are on weekday afternoons and weekend mornings. Volunteers must possess excellent child/parent communication skills, expertise in a variety of sports and the ability to work independently. Energetic, motivated and well organized individual who has a passion for children and sports. Ages 17+ who have previous coaching experience or played in variety of sports.

Are you interested in giving back to your community? The Roxbury YMCA is seeking volunteers to support our sports programs. We are looking for volunteer coaches in basketball, soccer, baseball, and flag football. This is a great way to connect with our youth and teach teamwork and build their skills in various sports offerings. We would like for you to be at least 18 or older and have knowledge in the specific sports areas.
