YMCA Teen Achievers Program-YOUNG PROFESSIONALS SPEAKERS

YMCA Achievers

Sign-up to be a guest speaker and deliver a 25-minute presentation to 7th-12th grade Y Achievers. You can use the additional time for a Q&A with students, or an interactive activity. Our program is held biweekly Saturdays in the morning at Wentworth College campus in Boston. Meeting time is approximately 10am-11am.

2025 Mobile Market Food Truck Volunteers

YMCA of Greater Boston

We are looking for volunteers to meet us at the Mobile Market location and help us support the market. This includes helping bag groceries, crowd control, helping shoppers if needed, and helping restock food on the market. Speaking another language is not necessary but a plus! This is a weekly opportunity. A schedule will be attached separately. Must be able to be on their feet for 2 hours or so, speaking Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is definitely a plus but not required. HULT BUSINESS SCHOOL-CLASS CHALLENGE

YMCA of Greater Boston

To provide undergraduate business students with a real-world experiential learning opportunity that combines teamwork, data analysis, critical thinking and recommendations for a specific client. The project will focus on a thorough marketplace and competitor analysis and delivering strategies and tactics for marketing, operations, and future growth. This project analysis and recommendation provide a fully vetted approach to future strategies and management opportunities. The first phase report will include specific marketplace data summary and competitive analysis for the client company and then will be followed at the conclusion with a comprehensive plan to consider and move forward within 2026 and beyond. At least eight student teams will be assigned to this project. Each team will follow a process provided by the faculty focusing on YMCA of Greater Boston’s key objectives. During the project each will be working independently on that team’s report. At the conclusion of the project in late December, each team will present their team report in-person to the client.

Swim Lesson Volunteer-Huntington Ave YMCA

The Volunteer will support with swim lesson management and delivery. Responsibilities include teaching swim lessons (beginner, intermediate, advanced; pre-school, youth, adult), and assisting aquatics leadership with on-deck tasks including: communication with swimmers and their grownups, preparing materials for instructors, and other tasks as needed. Ideally, volunteers will have experience in aquatics: swim instruction, lifeguarding, swim team, working with youth, as to be best prepared for the position.
